Talk to a man down a street, and ask him to name a famous bike brand. Don’t be surprised if the answer by most of them is Bianchi. Not only Bianchi is a performance bicycle company characterized by product driven technology, Italian design and global market: it has been for 130 years. So long has passed since 1885, when in Via Nirone, Milan, Edoardo Bianchi opened the little “Fabbrica Italiana Velocipedi” that would eventually make his last name one of the most famous brands in the World.
A lot has changed since Felice Gimondi’s triumph on the Champs Elysees, particularly in frames’ technology, and that’s why is constantly investing in material technology with the aim to produce the best bikes in the world.
Nowadays, Bianchi offers to the market a complete range of models for Road, MTB, City-Trekking, e-Bikes and accessories to meet the needs of all cyclists. All frames are projected and developed inside the Bianchi headquarter in Treviglio (Bergamo, Italy), same as all graphics and colors combinations.
With its Reparto Corse (Racing Department), Bianchi led the way with race proven geometry and technology as the market changed from steel to aluminum and then titanium, and now to the most advanced material: carbon.
The last major invention in time introduced by Bianchi was the employment of viscoelastic carbon material Countervail® – tested by NASA in aerospace operations. Thanks to the Countervail® Cancelling Vibration Technology, frames can cancel up to 80% more vibrations generated by terrain, therefore reducing muscular fatigue while also improving the bike’s handling and stiffness.
Also in the 20th edition of the Granfondo dedicated to Felice Gimondi, Bianchi will be Title Sponsor of the event.
